Attention Tooele County residents, within the North Tooele Fire District area.

This would include unincorporated parts of northern Tooele County including Erda, Pine Canyon and Lake Point areas.

Burn permits are now being issued for the 2017 Fall burn season.
The burn season will last from September 15 – October 30, 2017.

Burn permits are free but MUST be obtained by filling out an online permit. This can be done by logging on to the Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) website at
http://air.utah.gov/OpenBurning/form/index.php

Some restrictions do apply. To find out what the restrictions are or for assistance with filing for a permit please call 435-882-6730.

Stansbury Park only allows small cooking/recreational fires but only in an in-ground fire pit, or an above ground fire place. Recreational fires may include Dutch oven cooking, marshmallow or hot dog roasts, ETC. They may not be for burning of yard debris, grass, weeds, leaves, ground clearing, ETC.

The International Fire Code prohibits open burning within 50 feet of any building.

Burn dates for the Spring 2018 season will be released as they become available.

Remember: Burn permits are free. Fines are expensive.
